Other
Point Lobos State Park
Take your time to take in the views and watch for the wild life (including the small one, like beatles).
Del Monte Forest(?)
Short hike in the woods between the 68 and Pacific Grove Highway 17. Option to go around the golf part or follow the signs to stay on trail.
Fort Ord
Fort Ord, North West
Flat, a lot of options. Be mindful of bikes and have fun finding fired blank ammo.
Fort Ord, From South
On the 68, near Laguna Seca track. Plenty of variants to hike. Many dirt roads but they gentle-ish slopes for the most part. Very little shade.
Carmel Valley
Carmel Valley (above) City
A few steep trails. Stick to hiking trails as much as possible and run downhill :)
Carmel Valley, Garland Ranch
Super easy to modify to accomodate for lenght, steepness and to the heat.
Big Sur
Garapata Peak
Further away from Monterey. Great view. Going up along the creek/forest is great, steep descent.
Andrew Molera State Park
Chill, unbeatable view on the Pacific
Buzzard Something
Short hike, easy trail.
